Not sure who else is a Mac user, but I finally figured out why I was getting "?" icons on my home screen, and I'm hoping this helps someone.
Question mark icon to the right of the Slot2_NDS icon.
Mac computers add special files with a prefix of ._ on them, giving the illusion of duplicate files when hidden files are visible. These are extra system resource files added to the folder in question due to archiving.
For instance, in my _dstwoplug folder, I had:
._catsfc.plg (clicking gave me a white screen)
catsfc.plg (clicking loaded the plugin)
To remove the ._ files, first
create a backup of your MicroSD.
Then, you should
Now, your plugin menu should be all cleaned up!

Open the Terminal Type "dot_clean", followed by a single space Drag the (_dstwoplug) folder on your MicroSD containing dot-underscore files to the terminal window Press enter
