Hi I want to know if there is an mkv file trimmer which lessens the file size without removing anything

Next is there a zip compresser that when compressed it shortens the altogether file size

1 - No. It's already compressed, you'll either have to recompress lossily (lowering the video/audio quality by a large amount in order to get any significant gain) or cut parts out.

2 - Not zip, but you can try 7z (7-zip), which gets better compression. Not by that much though. By the way, if you're trying to compress a video like MKV, it's not going to work because it's already compressed, so to speak.
