mac os x on custom pc?

    If I were to purchase a Mac OS X dvd from apple would I be able to run it on my
    custom made pc? the processor is AMD Athlon II x250 and my MB is ASUS M2A74-AM

    No. You'd need a patched DVD with patched drivers etc. since Apple doesn't use AMD CPUs.

    Not with an AMD processor.

    Because clearly the fact that Apple doesn't use AMD CPUs is the reason you can't just put a retail OS X DVD in your PC and install. Even if your computer doesn't even have an AMD CPU this must be true because it is logical. It's a shame Apple couldn't figure out how to get around this because they must have really wanted support for their OS on computers that they don't sell themselves since they don't do much marketing for those anyway.

    well, there are AMD drivers/kexts that support it (in distro's like iDeneb iPC ect)

    why the fuck would you want to use osx on your pc its better to find a linux kernal that looks like osx
