Hacking M3i Zero Help

I just got mine M3i zero today in the mail and i try to get it to work but it doesnt work. Can someone help me by walking through how to get it to work. I have nitendo DS lite and i got 8gb flash card for M3i Zero. When i put the M3i Zero into my DS all it showed was the menu of the DS originally have and they place where u usually select the game when u have to is not selectable. Thank you for ur help
