just got this working - i will now never need to play about with my fiddly micro sd card again - just use my ftp client to transfer my files accross!

perfect!

Yea, but that's the 'up to' theory speed. With a direct connection, speed would be decent and stuff like online game wifi speeds would be alot less. I think some people over at gbadev reported to have around 60kb/sec with dsftp.

I've been using DSFTP to transfer small files (usually firmware updates, testing my skull skin, homebrew, etc.) Using flashFXP as the client, it's reporting average 30 KB/s. Fine for small files, but roms go on by reader. Sure beats swapping microSD All the time. I tried putting it on my sons DSLite, but it wouldn't find my router. Odd because the exact same files work fine on my DSPhat. I do know he has yet to run MarioKart and set up the wifi through that, but I did try several other wifi games.

Yeah it's not quick - but that's not my major point. It actually saves me a hell of a lot of time when editing config files on there etc while testing programs. Also for the odd app etc it saves me having to unplug walk round the back of my pc alerting to the fact that while i'm at work i'm also playing with my DS

side note: why is the DS so slow? 30k? What is there a 56k baud modem inside it?
