I think 80$ just for the adapter itself is a bit too much. You can buy two supercard lites for like a couple dollars more than one M3 Lite.

Regarding GBA compatibility: I tried GTA advance on M3 and it didn't work.

GTA Advance works on my CF M3. Did it not boot at all or does it stop working at a certain point in the game?
I only played it for about 15 minutes because I was never a fan of the 2D GTAs.
