I ordered my M3 lite for my NDS to get GBA support, and to hold more MP3s and some video (since my slot1 R4 was full with games)

the M3 came with a GBA size case as well, and it made me wonder if it would also boot up if I stuck it in my GBAsp

the package it came it made it sound like it should work in the GBA but mine doesn't
is there any kind of special trick or configuration I need to do to make it work?

Both the professional and perfect will boot fine in GBASP in gba mode. That's why that case is there. The professional just has limited memory so the gba games that actually work are reduced.

that's what I thought

Mine doesn't boot at all in my GBA SP

it works 100% fine in my DS

has anyone actually gotten it to work for sure?

I've updated to the latest firmware(v32) and still no dice)

works fine on my gba with the case so I have no idea why it wouldnt...

hopefully this gets resolved soon as now I have to hold back from purchasing a gba sp

I have an old M3 Perfect SD (redesign) that no longer loads GBA games

As the subject of M3L Perfect in GBA systems, it works like a charm on v30 firmware.

version 30 worked like a charm

then for shitz and gigglez I upgraded to v32 and it works as well now..

not sure what I was doing wrong the first time
