Wowz. I am pretty shocked. I wonder what kind of person would do this kind of thing... Just like some people said, GBAtemp is safe. You know that no one is gonna attack us randomly. Since we can trust our Staff here. At least I think we can x3

More importantly GBAtemp takes regular backups cuz it's, you know, a good site.

To be honest, I've never used that forum ever. The only M3 product I have is an M3 Perfect miniSD and it works fine for my GBA games and emu's, so I never needed to go there for anything. I don't use my slot2 for DS gaming, only GBA stuff.

The fact that everything in the M3 slot2 boards there is from 2008 and older makes it even more useless to me. Granted, some of the newer posts that MIGHT have been in that forum may be some of the ones that got deleted, but every slot2 manufacturer stopped supporting their slot2's for improved GBA functionality anyway. If any updates do come out for slot2's it's just for DS stuff. And M3 hasn't updated their slot2's in ages, for DS or GBA stuff.

I'm just curious but they don't have a log of which moderator does what to which/what do they? cos they could find the person who did this.

it depends on what forum system it runs off of and you could install mods for the forum to track every staff

Let me explain a few things:

- No, there were no members deleted, but the board had to be reverted back to the 2008 copy, without all those new members
- I have fused the members table with the old version of the board, so all member account should still work now
- I have even merged the PM tables, so all user's PM's and drafts should still be intact
- I'm too stupid to not have automated frequent backups (yes, shoot me for that)
- The board is now upgraded to the latest phpbb version and a decent anti spam mod had been installed now, so I hope the spam will decrease a lot

i'm a regular on a small forum that gets this shit all the time................eventually the admins had to file a report with the FBI and the nob's IP just to stop it.

the small forums with the great communities are always the main targets....................ever notice hot GameSpot never seems to have trouble in comparison?

That "attack from within" probably only consisted of wiping all the threads and members made after 12/30/08 which ONLY consisted of spambots and malware advertisements

That is exactly what happened

maicroft left the boards almost a year ago

4 months ago I posted that if no one was posting, I would remove the forums so that no actual M3 people would think it was an actual M3 board anymore

no one responded in the admin forum, so forums were removed

I loved that about a month after he decided it was an "attack" and is heroically resusitating a dead forum

I'm curious why you're trying to bring back a forum you abandoned about a year ago, and hadn't posted on in much longer?

you never bothered to respond to anything in the admin forums.
