So my 3ds Xl firmware is 11.2. I want to update luma to update my 3ds. Will I have any problem while updating luma? I heard something about that. Please let me know what should I do.

Thanks!

There's no problem, just update luma to the latest stable version, which is 6.6, and you are good to update your firmware to 11.3.
Problems show up if you have RxTools or other old CFWs, which don't support the latest firmware

I suggest using this build https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/builds/Luma-5f8a6120.zip otherwise you won't be able to use non-cia homebrew unless you have an internet connection. It also will partially fix the stuttering/framerate issue on OOT.

Be sure to backup your NAND first, and consider making a transferable CTR image of 11.2.
Should I update directly from Luma app on my 3ds?

Will direct update work from luma app or it might brick or something?

anyway I checked luma is on 6.6.

I would download that file I linked to and replace the arm9loaderhax.bin on your sd card with the one from that .zip file. You can also use the latest hourly but sometimes they won't work at all or will have issues (one of them would remove all your games for some reason so unless you had a nand backup/ticket backup and full sd backup you would have to start everything all over except for physical cart games).

It's completely safe to update both your CFW and your 3DS (although there's nothing beneficial added to 11.3)
To update Luma3DS, either update using your updater or simply download the latest stable/nightly. Nothing will get screwed up when updating your CFW.
Updating your 3DS, I suggest doing a NAND backup first because you really should just do that regularly. Then update like normal through the system settings.
