So I my 3ds got soaking wet at one point. I immediately took the back off and took out the battery (didn't take a while since I have a case over the back so I don't screw the screws in). Then I put it in rice for a while. About a week later I take it out and try to turn it on and it boots godmode 9 then any button presses shut it down. So I went on the sd card and moved the payload somewhere else and tried again. It loaded this time (the screen constantly scrolls left though but it doesn't affect games so far also I think the Select button is being buggy like it's just being held down, but I can still press it). This all was maneagable and I didn't really care much, but then I updated to the latest firmware and then replaced my boot.firm. Then It wanted me to create my luma config. I can't seem to press any buttons on the menu and I can't seem to edit the file on the card to what I want either. Any help? I think I just need a luma 3ds config file that matches with my own with someone on the same version, but any help is appreciated :)

Water may have (semi-)permanently damaged traces and switches for the buttons, connectors, mother/daughter boards, and lower screen digitizer.

You can try remedying or repairing affected inputs by:
  1. Dissemble the 3DS.
  2. Soak and bathe all parts* in 91% rubbing alcohol.
    • * Except speakers, battery, LCD screens, and camera.
  3. Brush cleaning the pieces parts with soft bristle toothbrush.
  4. Dry everything with low heat/low fan speed blowdryer.
  5. More drying everything with the rice trick.
  6. Reassemble everything and check all the inputs again.
For buttons/inputs that have failed, you will need to make a checklist and shop for replacement parts at eBay, aliexpress, Amazon, etc.

What config options do you want? I got you.

No offense, friend, but if your 3DS got wet and then stopped recieving proper inputs, it sounds like you have greater worries than a configuration file. I'd try to repair/clean it like @TurdPooCharger suggested, then worry about needing files.

Thanks! Just show nand in user string and the autoboot emunand option please :)

I've played ds and 3ds games with touch screen inputs without problems, I'm just afraid I'd damage the system even more by opening it up like that

Water damage is more than likely not reversible even if you completely dry the components. If he's not versed in hardware electronic repair he can cause more harm than good by opening his console. The ribbon cables are VERY fragile, and while they're cheap and easy enough to replace (among other things) it's extremely easy to break one trying to get to other things. Hell even if you just remove the ribbon cable for the camera the LCD refuses to boot......
