Well, I have a new out of a sealed box DS, and the Stylus is really loose into its slot.

When I have it in, and I'm playing Pokemon or something, when my finger or hand moves over it with the slightest power it will come out, not as far as to fall out, but at least to be able to feel it being out with like 2CM or something.

Here are 2 pictures.

This is the position of the stylus when I gently slide my finger over it without applying any kind of strength to it.

buy a new stylus and get a stylus pen to carry around because the stylus that comes in the box sucks bad so i never take it.. that's what i do lol i use the giant dsi xl pen

I can't really complain about the stylus itself, have been playing Dementiam/Metroid, and it goes as good as my friends $30 stylus.
The only problem is it not being in its slot as good as it should be.

i have exactly the same problem. my stylus moves out when i barely touch it or move my dsi

only a cm, but it goes on my nerves :S

- Try expand that little hole on other end of stylus a little. This becomes loose in time at least on lite don't know what DSi stylus is like.
- Only use bigger stylus which to carry out and not use the stylus hole. Easiest way if you have carrying pouch.
- Buy bundle of styluses so there is always replace when it becomes really loose. Expensive way but there are always stylus when you need one ":D"

there's always Hori for your needs.

Officially licensed pack of retractable styli. Comes with 2. I'd totally buy it again, but they're sold out of the black pack..

I wouldn't buy fake styli because they're more likely to be defective and scratch your screen (you don't use any screen protectors). Never bought myself the fake ones, but my Acekard came with one and I could feel something sharp.

Weird. Though the DSi's are being discontinued or something aren't they? I know for my lite, after a while of taking the stylus out and whatnot, the little bump on the stylus by the end, it wears down.

Hori might be high quality but it's not officially licensed.

Had the same issue with my (no longer working) DS lite I just used a pen type stylus instead.
The stylus in my DSi is really secure though.

I have one of PDA Panache's metal styluses (styli?

), and a black DS Lite. One of the stylus' problems is that it doesn't have that nub which locks into place when I put the stylus. What I did? I put a few pieces of electrical tape on the slot so it fits snugly. Now it doesn't come off unless I want it too

Might want to try that if it doesn't look too out of place on a blue DSi.
