for gaming mainly i don't watch videos on this computer i do 3d modeling work now and than and use graphics and video editing programs.

i'm looking for at least a 24" LCD
3 MS Response Rate or close to
resolution of at least 1920 x 1080
brands i won't use: LG

what are my options?

acer are a having a cashback on some of their monitors right now.

you can pick up a 23.6" for about 180, acer x243hq. 23" for 140.

Refresh rate of 3ms required?
So you're going to be viewing something at over 300FPS?

8-10ms is enough to eliminate streaking/ghosting, refresh rate is the new Mhz/megapixels for monitors, it's the number they raise/advertise to make people think it's better without knowing what that number actually measures.

Will 23" do? If so, then Vizio has a pretty good monitor with all those specs, plus it also has 2 HDMI.

just an fyi 5ms is as fast as response time really gets, the 2ms response times are gray to gray response times. manufacturers often use this to trick uneducated people into thinking that their 2ms moniter is better than a 5ms monitor when, a 2ms moniter is exactly the same as a five second monitor.

Get a TN panel. Way better from what I hear.
