Just using Tube/Ironhax and dumping saves, whats the best guide or resource on how to edit MH4U saves, fix checksums, etc? I guess this applies to most games but i'm currently playing MH4U so i'll start with this one. If anyone has any good references i might write some tools or even a toolkit for a data driven save editor that you can use straight from the 3ds... I've got about 3 days of free time to work on this.

thanks for the links, the first is a gimped to shit web tool. The interface is decent if any of it actually worked. The problem is that it's shit and a mostly non functional frontend. Changing languages is broken, the guy thinks he is being clever gimping his own software with all sorts of usage limits (again not that it matters its buggy when it works at all).
https://gbatemp.net/threads/another-mh4u-save-editor.396687/ was helpful thanks for this one. Looking through that file basically all you need is https://github.com/svanheulen/mhef .

Thanks everyone for your help, even the guy who wrote the tool i'm being really critical of (still gets points for a cool idea).

I'm pretty sure that what u wanted.
but remember to decrypt the save before u using the apm editor.
btw, the website one doesnt need decrypted save file:)

dont call people stupid, they can design a tool, but u can't.

the web one is good at gen talisman really fast...
the local file editor u have to know the hex value the skill and the offset

APM is the software you should use to edit your save.
To decrypt/encrypt your save data, look for quickbms.exe MH4Usave_enc MH4Usave_dec
