Gaming Looking for "Deep ds game"

Yo, wrote asking for advice in choosing the game. I mean something like a RPG / jRPG / adventure of a slightly "deeper" story. Namely, that the story was based on the meaning of life, friendship, loneliness, changes occurring in the human psyche .... something like that. At one time captivated me Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 and Fragile Dreams on the Wii. May know how to find something like that. Thanks for any help. Regards

Ok, you're probably gonna kill me for this since it's not an RPG, but I can't stand not telling u about this game bcuz it matches the "deep" story to a T. It's called 999, 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors, and will forever be my favorite DS game. The gameplay is kind of like the escape-room games, and it's pretty much a visual novel in which you can have 6 different endings, including one last true ending. It's a psychological horror, and they talk about pretty deep stuff, especially if you get to the true ending. check it out!

Oh and if you don't like it (which I hardly doubt ) yup, the shin megami tensei games are excellent.

If you want a story, then this is the game that you want. In terms of story alone, none compare to this one, the only one that comes close in my opinion would be The World Ends with You & Phoenix Wright: Trials & Tribulations. And maybe the other AA games.

I enjoy a deep story as you describe as much as anybody but better than a story is trying your own hand at it and for that http://www.projectaon.org/staff/frederic/downloads.php is pretty good.

Hmm... HGSS is sort of longish but not REALLY deep.

There's an older DS game called 'Lost in Blue' which has a slightly deeper story but it's not a rpg, in fact its part of a trilogy but i havn't got round to trying the other two yet.
There's tons of great rpgs though for the DS but i don't know if they have that kind of adult, mature type of emotional thing i think you might be after. You could try 'Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Survivor', 'Chrono Trigger', 'Kingdom Hearts : 358/2 days' and maybe 'Final Fantasy XII' or 'Okamiden' .

I thought this game had a deeper story. There was lots of customization and involved battles.
