Thank you for the comment twiztidsinz and reminding me about what WINE stands for (I should have known this I've used WINE all day).

I'm going to refer to http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=70252 for my questions regarding a flashcard that does what I need.

    Thanks,

    we6jbo

    None and All.

Flashcards are OS independent -- You just drag/drop the files onto the SD card.
It's the general NDS tools, like ROM unpackers, that are mostly Windows dependent.

Also... WINE Is Not an Emulator.

To be fair, some versions of the firmware for some flashcarts have been distributed as exe files. I have no idea why this is, but it could cause problems for people on non-windows systems.

DSTT or Acekart will work fine.

Only a few cards don't work in Linux. I can't even think of any right now.

CycloDS and Acekard 2i both work fine on Linux.

    Middle of the ocean.
Pretty sure only sakura comes like that. In an .msi file. You could just wait for someone like Densetsu to upload a system folder or anyone else for that matter.

All other flashcart firmwares I've seen are just .zip and .rar
