Looking for a new programming language to learn

In my mind you are asking the wrong question. Instead of "What language should I learn?", "What do I want to do?". What's your goal in learning a new language, and is there any reason it has to be a single language?

My advice is to instead focus on tempering general developmental skills, and to let those guide you into your next challenge (unless a new challenge finds you first!). The Pragmatic Bookshelf have some excellent books on this topic: https://pragprog.com/book/btlang/seven-languages-in-seven-weeks
