Hacking Looking for a new Flash Card... the iTouch is crap

Hey guys.
I've had the iTouchDS for a while now and I thought it was pretty good. Now I'm starting to realize how crappy it is. Here are all the problems it has.
Well, there aren't skins that can be easily found...
The cheat.db file isn't working correctly for me. A large percentage of games I try to play with cheats tell me, "No cheat has been selected," when I try to set the cheats.

Now The World Ends With You doesn't work. It freezes a few minutes into the game.
Some Mario Party DS Microphone MiniGames don't work correctly.
Some homebrew apps I've been trying aren't working correctly.
When loading the game list, it takes a lot longer to load than other flash carts.

I heard if you use the M3 or R4, you can use the YSMenu to autopatch games.
My friend has the R4DS with a 2GB Micro-SD card and he can play Mario & Luigi RPG 3 with no freezing with the YSMenu and piracy fix.

I have a DS Phat, rather than the DS Lite, but I think there's a DS Phat Slot 2 pak for it.
Do you think I should get the M3, and if so, where at?
I have an 8GB Micro-SD card from my iTouchDS, so I just need to buy the M3 by itself.

i recommend going with an acekard 2. its verry good. the world ends with you freezes too but * theres a way to get by it by flipping your ds top screen up and down until your past the part * is a pain but it works. and it supports skinning, mp3's txts . its a really good card

AceKard 2.1 is the way to go~! Unless you are settling for something more expensive, then the CycloDS Evolution is the way to go~!

i agree with spylch either that or cyclo. or you can also go with Ds top toy or dstt. but acekard is best

Does it have good compatibility with the games I mentioned and can it play gba games? o.o

I really want to be able to do that and play Mario & Luigi RPG 3 on my DS =D
It's $11.39 on DealExtreme, so it looks pretty sweet.

So, are there any custom firmwares for it, or should I just get the official firmware?

im not sure about gba but just get an acekard *100%compatibility* with almost all homebrew . and all Ds games * not that ur going to that hehe*

Can someone that has the Acekard please do the following things for me?
They should only take a few minutes each.
If these are fixed, I'll buy it.

Try to start up Animal Crossing Wild World with cheats.
Try to play a microphone game in Mario Party DS.
See if Mario & Luigi RPG 3 works for you.

Those are the 3 main things I want this for. =)

Seems like someone answered your question. Best chance to get most games to work is use the AKAIO firmware. Search it in the AceKard section.

It has better compatibility and many bugs that were made by Team AceKard were fixed with AKAIO.

When I start any Mario Party DS game with microphone capabilities, it freezes.

Huh... What flashcard are you using again? Is it the iTouchDS? I am too lazy to try this out. I will try it, and PM you or reply at this topic when I do.

yea it is ^^ * i played mario party before on my acekard* i didnt like it but only played it for a few minutes played few levels. played one with mic and it worked. im guessing urs doesnt because of compatibility issues. but really just go with that excellent card.

Why would that happen? Why would an 8GB do that? Also depends on what class, brand and place was manufactured.

iTouch DS wasn't really that good of a card... Just a cheaper version of a M3Real + M3 Simply (GUI reminds me of one...)

Complaints are complaints but as far as TWEWY goes, it's a known issue on every flashcart. It relates to microSD speed, and lack thereof.

Try to load the game with the X button (the green loader) it stopped to freeze for me since the 1.4

Oh wow. That is some description. But yea. I heard that TWEWY had the most issues on the AceKard but what is weird, that I haven't encountered any of those issues.
