i'm suprised that my parents actually let me get it. My dad said it was because i've worked hard at school, i probably wont be able to get any sleep when i get it though

Development for CM9 is COMPLETELY different for every device. On the touchpad, CM9 sucks MAJOR balls. Lot of force closes, from what I understand no HW Acceleration yet, and various other things. CM7 is way more stable.

samsungs firmware had perfect hw accelerated codecs, but moving to cm9 on my phone has caused a few to not play.

also, you at least have webos to fall back on. (I have a friend who refuses to use anything bar webos... yeah... has a pre3 as well. I can't figure it out. I suppose it's not a bad piece of software, but android's way better. Hell, androids making ios look bad now. Nothing on ios I'm jealous of now I guess.)

YoutubeHD works fine on CM7. I use my touchpad for videos more than anything

Hell, you'll get 1080p mkvs playing on it fine with hw acceleration! The tab you showed us from amazon has a pathetic graphics chip and less ram than this does, plus the screen res is lower too!

YoutubeHD works fine on CM7. I use my touchpad for videos more than anything

Also, 90% of the touchpads on ebay are going for less than £200 so you're fine in the price region (you said £200 is your budget if my memory serves me right)

they're really cheap on ebay just look for the ones that have a starting bid of £100+ nobody pays any interest to them

Sweet. i got enough for my touchpad now. Apparently someone's also gotten the raspberry pi's build of linux to run on it. Impressive!!!

More I checked into it the more I knew I was making the right choice... beats audio, cheap accessories, ipad looks...

Hell, even HP play can use itunes folders!!! It will be A PLEASURE to use this sucker.

they have even cheaper tablets as well. but you cant beat a 1.5 ghz processor and 1gb ram + ics out of the box tablet for $250
