Hacking Local Pokemon Trading

So I know a few things.

1) You can't use Pokebank with SKY3DS because it only handles physical cartridges. In the sense that you can't emulate it, you'd have to buy it.
2) You can't trade event pokemon over the GTS.
3) You CAN trade event pokemon "locally" without Pokebank.

SO, if I have a Nintendo 3DS with a legit cartridge of Pokemon Y and a Nintendo DS Lite with an R4 cart, loaded with... I don't know, whichever pokemon games allowed trading back then, can I trade locally from my 3DS to my DS?

I want to transfer my event pokemon when Pokemon Z comes out, but I only have one 3DS and X&Y and I'm on the latest firmware. I have a private header for online games (Does that work on DS games? Damn, something I haven't considered)

So if I can transfer them TO my DS Lite, then I can transfer them BACK to my 3DS with SKY when Z comes out, right? Do I have that all correct?

I don't think it would work like that because gen 6 move sets would not exist in any DS games so you could use your SKY3DS with Cubic Ninja rom and run homebrew save mangers.
