Homebrew Loading without an SD Card

I'm aware that CBHC is installed on my system, and I can start my Wii U without an SD card. I'm wondering if there are any types of risks I should know about that involve me not having my SD card in the system with CBHC installed while the system is on. Will I still be able to access Homebrew Channel safely and what not? Sorry for the nooby questions guys, just thought I would ask.

Booting CBHC without SD Card should be fine, but you won't be able to load homebrew app (cause they are stored on the SD)

what would happen if I clicked on the HBL app in the Wii U menu?

If you clicked on the icon, it will boot up normally, but not have any home brew apps on the little menu.

Oh Ok, so pretty much I wont brick if I take out my SD card. cool!
