Its been a while since I visited the WiiU scene, and I have just dusted off a WiiU I had previously modded and want to update it to use tiramisu or aroma.

I thought I had installed CBHC, as I do not have to run haxchi when I turn on the console and I can run my backups immediately. I do have a folder called cbhc on my sdd card, but I do not get a black screen with autobooting... message when I turn on the console.

So my first question is, is there a way to be certain if cbhc is installed, as I don't want to risk a brick when i update. (If I try to use the uninstall cbhc method and it isn't installed, will this cause a problem ?)

second question, the instructions for uninstalling cbhc say to launch the homebrew launcher in step 1 - i dont have an icon for this !

grateful for anyone who can help/advise.

thx

If you get one of these message then you are on CBHC.

thx - I read that, but I am confused because I have a cbhc folder on my sd card and I can run games from boot up, without running haxchi.

also, i dont seem to have homebrew app

Well games that have disc versions and dont have DLC installed can run without haxchi being loaded. My suggestion is check if you have an app anywhere on the system named "Do not delete" or "Do not touch" if you have that then it has CBHC. A definite way to check though is just the cbhc installer where you can toggle it.

thx i went ahead as it looks like CBHC wasn't installed. I now have aroma installed, but most games (installed to USB) which worked under haxchi don't work, I get an error about the nintendo ID no longer being present

Probably because you need to install the sigpatching plugin

thx, i saw a post for users migrating from tiramisu to aroma re the sigpatch, I migrated from haxchi so it didn;t occur to me. I found a 01_sigpatches.rpx and put it on the sd - all is well :)
