Hacking Lite Touch 3.0 and XBLA

So I'm a bit confused about something... I'm not very versed when it comes to the 360 scene. I had my my phat 360's Lite On drive flashed with Lite Touch 3.0 a few months ago. But now I find myself wanting to buy a couple XBLA games, so my question is: Is it safe (or as close to it as possible) for me to connect to Live to buy these? Would that reflash my drive and block me from playing backups?

I've taken all the precautions since the very beginning, running my games through abgx and getting that special drive to burn xgd3 games, and have kept myself off live since I got it pretty much.

Depends on your Dashboard.

If you're past 13xxx then you've got nothing to worry about.
(The Metro Dash begins at 14699)

You can connect to XBL and optionally update (if lower then 14719) and purchase your XBLA games ;]
