That's not true. The game plays in 4.1, but you can't download anything from eshop right now without updating.Bought Celeste through eshop on 4.1, I have to update in order to play it.
So Celeste needs 5.0
Is there a way to update to 4.1 from 3.0.1? Looking forward to play Kirby.
Ohh nice! I thought online is the only method for update. Thanks. There is! Just buy Kirby. The update is on the cartridge.
Odyssey 001 EUR carts require 3.0.2 and ships with the 1.1.0 update preinstalled.
I recently bought BoW for my Switch running 3.0.2, but to my surprise, it prompted me with a system update (if not update the icon will not be added) something that SMO and Skyrim never had. I'm not sure what happens here guys, maybe I just have a newly revised BoW cartridge? Any helps will be appreciated.
There are revisions of games floating around. These revisions often only have a higher minimal Firmware.
Does not work on 3.0.0. Works on 4.1.0. Tested today with secondhand cartridge. Serial on cartridge version 000.

My guess is around 4.0.0. But can not confirm.
At this point most games you'll buy will ask for an update. Even release games like Zelda have gotten updates on cart past 1.0.0.guys im on 1.0 if i buy rayman legends will it ask for an update.
Can you post the gameid and game version as described in the thread in my signature? Thank you!Dragon Quest Builders cartridge 000 works on firmware 4.0.1. I also cannot confirm 4.0.0.
