Gaming Linux Mint Running WIndows 7 Bootloader

I installed linux mint then went to easy bcd, reinstalled the vista bootloader, and booted up. I got "THE BLACK SCREEN OF DOOOOOOOOOM!!!!" HEWP!

Use a Windows Vista DVD to restore the bootloader.

Explain in further detail, where is the black screen coming from. Mint or the bootloader.

Take the Vista DVD, stick it in the drive, boot it up by manually selecting it or using the bios to configure CD/DVD as first boot.

Select Repair and you can either let it automatically repair or run command prompt and type:

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot

Then restart.

Ugh...it doesn't matter what version they both work the same way. If you're using Windows 7 then put the Windows 7 DVD in. Also, he plainly states that he has the Vista bootloader.

or you could just use ms-sys from a linux live cd.

ms-sys --mbr7 /dev/sda
