That wouldn't work... You need ARM9 and ARM11 to boot another OS.Maybe we will have a way to start our own kernel on ARM11 with just a ARM11 kernel exploit.

What would be the point? Mind as well just use native homebrew then. It'd be a lot faster.Isn't it possible to use a virtual machine like thing?

Look, unless you have a kernel hacked 3DS... You're not getting Linux. It's as simple as that.Nothing, but just for Linux. I think that would suck too, but it could be possible that way. (No I'm not saying it is impossible to use it native later)

Without hardware and software support it'd be very difficult to set up a VM.Ok that's true. But VMs like virtual box might happen sooner or later. I know Linux is the kernel used for many many operating systems, but I understand this is the issue. Sooner or later the developers will find out (maybe). Love the scene going on though, only no Linux.

No they won't. It'd be slow as dirt anyway. You are not getting Linux without a kernel hack. In any way shape or form.Right, that's true forgot about that one. Sorry. But maybe sooner or later they find out how to do it.
Expect the unexpectable sooner or later

Until then we the 9.2 users can make fun of youI know, I'm saying that's true. But maybe in around 1-5 years they find a kernel hax. There are always vulnerabilities.

No, there are vulnerabilities on every firmware. It's just a matter of finding them.I think you shouldn't, there will be more sooner or later, I'm saying, it might be in every version (the chances aren't very high, though) like the Google Android vulns.

Installation:
1) Copy the zImage and the nintendo3ds_ctr.dtb to the root of the SD card
2) Copy the 3ds folder to the root of the SD card
3) Run 3DS Linux Loader.3dsx with a Homebrew Launcher

Video? So I've finally managed to get it working. It uses Brahma2 so it will only work on <=9.2 FW.

Keep that shit out of this thread. Not for long....

Try pressing a key fast after loading the .3dsx (as you could see, after loading the Linux image it asks for pressing a key before jumping to the kernel), and I've never tried on the N3DS so it would be nice to know if works there.I tried it on my N3DS, but it just froze on "Uncompressing Linux...done, booting the kernel.", and both screens are just full of rainbow pixels (random data I guess). Does it only work on O3DS right now?
