Did you try looking back at previous days' messages for Letterbomb?

Are you using the correct region in the package?
    Correct MAC address?
Are you putting the folder in the right place in the SD card?
Try going back and forward a few days

I would just update the console through the normal method then use Letterbomb. It needs an unpatched IOS58, I believe.

The HBC installer recommends a standard SD card (not SDHC or SDXD) if that helps any. I don't XC works at all and only some HC ones do.

Does the Wii even recognize the SD cards?

You need an old SD card. Back in the day it also didn't work for me using a micro sd but used an old 2gig card that and that did the trick.

This is gonna sound dumb, but format the Wii via the Settings Menu and re-do the Wii system setup on it, make sure the date and time are all set right when you set it up too.

Also try to format the SD using Panasonic SD formatter to fat16 instead of fat32 and changing cluster size. Also make sure everything is put on the ROOT of the SD

Formatting the wii didn't really help but ill try using the Panasonic SD formatter and David it does detect an SD Card.

Try using Wilbrew through ModMii, it is basically the same as letterbomb, you put in menu version, region, and Mac Addr. throw it on an sd and go back one day. Plus you won't have to "Cut the Red" or blue wires. Also make sure your wii's time and date setting is current before you do so.
