A competent programmer, @slaphappygamer opened the suspicious executable in a hex editor. At first, nothing was recognizable, but, slowly, boredom turned to horror. As the instructions became clear, @slaphappygamer realized the identity of the program, and a cold sweat began to develop. It was @tempBOT. The malicious coding was assumed to have been destroyed, when the agency finally cornered and neutralized @AncientBoi. The purpose of the mission had been to prevent Judgement Day, a referential new threat meant to destabilize the world economy. It was back. Each hex value was an individual promise of corruption and mass panic.

Hands shaking, the data was placed onto a thumb drive. It had to be analyzed at division with the hopes of finding a signature left by the new party. Scenarios ran through @slaphappygamer's mind. Had someone been able to single-handedly reproduce @tempBOT's intricate algorithms? Was the file merely duplicated prior to the seige? The transfer complete, @slaphappygamer safely ejected the mounted thumb drive, but a jolt towards the exit was immediately interrupted by @hippy dave. With a firearm pointed squarely at @slaphappygamer's heart, @hippy dave stood there staring. @hippy dave's eyes were both blank and full of conviction simultaneously. From that point, both bodies remained perfectly still, as if every electron had paused in place.

Band camp was over.
