Hardware Left trigger messed up

My left trigger constantly pulses on and off no matter what the left trigger is actually doing. Though, when it isn't pulsing like crazy, it functions fine. (it ceases pulsing randomly, but usually only for a second)

I'm fairly certain water got into the trigger and damaged it (just a tiny amount...but).

How would I go about fixing it? Or is it possible.
I'm tempted to just buy a new PSP.

There are certainly repair shops around you that could give a look at it, always better than going right away buying a new psp, or if you know specificly where the problem is, you can search for that part of the psp and replace it.
