Hacking Latest WOOD 1.24 no text problem

With the aid of the great WOOD guide i have managed to use ut on my older R4 cards. everything works fine apart from i can read any of the text or it doesnt display any text at all, just the logo of the rom....So that means I cant enetr into the settings menu......Has anyone got any advice

delete the old text files and put the new (or format your card and put the new version).

Are you 100% sure they're legit original R4's? That sounds like the same kind of thing that happens when you run AKAIO on non-Acekards.

delete your /__rpg/globalsettings.ini.

I just edited the globalsettings.ini and replaced lang_en with English, as with the post in the sticky thread.

Thanks, Me too after upgrading to 1.24 I got the same problem. and YES we are using ORIGINAL r4 lol

Got english text but the start menu options look like smudged writing and still no rom file names just icons, and as far as I can tell I have genuine R4 Revolution cards

I had this problem when i put a fresh copy of Wood R4v1.24 on my R4 but everything was fixed when i changed the default theme(gbatemp) to the zelda theme....
