Gaming Largest Micro SD

What is currently the largest size of MicroSD?

Suddenly my 8GB stopped being so practicle when 3DS games were announced to be as large as 2GB a pop.

Not even possible. He asked for the largest MicroSD card. MicroSD goes to 2GB. MicroSDHC goes to 32GB, which SanDisk debuted just at the end of this past March. The MSRP is $199.99.

The official (micro)SD limitation is at 2GB. There are some bigger ones, but their performance vary greatly and is not guaranteed to work in all devices.

I'm fairly sure you meant (micro)SDHC though where the official limit is at 32GB. Then there's a new standard coming up named SDXC which technically should allow up to 2TB of data, however the official limit is very likely to end up a great deal lower than that.

3DS won't be hacked for a long while, so why are you already worrying about µSD sizes?

I don't expect 3DS hacking to be perfected until/approaching 2013.

I wanted to know what was out now so I could predict what would be out then.

A 32GB card might very well be $15 two years from now.
