It depends on your personal preference. I have a PSP and never EVER use it, and I regret buying it, so I would have much rather have bought a laptop. It also depends how much money you're willing to spend on the laptop.

assuming the laptop is a cheap one for around 300 bux it'll be crap. It will have a crappy intel graphics chip so most games are out. The only thing you'll be able to play on it are emulated console games. You might as well get a psp slim for that (assuming it is one you can mod with a custom firmware)

anyGood?

I would suggest Laptop or a Xbox 360 lol
If you want a good multimedia device, screw the PSP, and if you want games, get a Xbox 360 -.-

I suggest a laptop but you should consider waiting until college to get one, they'll be much cheaper/better and you will need it more.

The laptop can do nearly everything the PSP can only better, except play PSP games.

If you want to game at all you need a laptop with an ati or nvidia video chipset. If you don't want to game, or at least no games that need hardware acceleration, get someone with the screen size and resolution you want and as much ram as you can get.

ati or nvidia video chipset? can you eleberate with that?(and a Laptop can play PS I emulation...So that is a plus you might want to consider)

I don't even know how you can compare those two. Laptop is obviously better. PSP is mainly for gaming, sure you can use it for other things, but you can't even compare it to what a computer can do. I will choose internet ANYDAY over video games, TV, or whatever other type of electronic stimulation. yea....

Anyways, I saw one of those really small laptops the other day. I don't know how big the screen is, but I'm gonna have to guess it was less than 10 inches, and it was about $400. They seem really nice just for portability and hopping on the internet anywhere. I currently use a 15 inch laptop, and I also have a deskto[ computer, but i pretty much have all my peripherals attached to my laptop including my 21 inch monitor, which gives me a dual screen. But yea, if you have enough money for a PSP but need a laptop, I suggest saving up for a laptop. It's almost like asking, would you rather have a gym or a treadmill. come on now.
