i just bought a lapel microphone for recording audio, and i notice that when i plug it into my laptop's combo jack port(the one with the little headset on it) and there is no sound coming out of the speakers which signifies that my computer thinks it is a headphone cable, will a product that splits it like this, http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-...d=1462119610&sr=1-1&keywords=startech+adapter work to let me use my headphones and microphone on my single port laptop?
