So I've been using retroarch for awhile now. Been playing 3DS on it. But apparently Lakka lets you play Dolphin so I'm trying to boot up Lakka. I have the lattest Hakete and lattest Lakka and I used a new microSD that I never touched until now and formated to FAT32. But when I boot it up it just gives me a black screen. Hakete boots up and I clicked on ''more config'' and run Lakka and Lakka's logo shows up but after that. Black screen. Any Ideas. I've been looking everywhere for answer

According to the author this is a known issue with no known fix.

I had it working on a previous SD card and it fails just like you describe on a new one. So there might be some kind of relation to the kind of SD card used or what cluster size it was formatted with. Or maybe its not compatible with the latest Hekate, been so long since its been updated...

Lakka just doesn't like some sd cards on switch, that's it. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be fixed in the new version, but since its on hiatus now, nothing you can do except for trying a different sd. I have samsung evo 128gb and lakka works fine with it.

Same issue. I tried a different sd card and the issue remained the same.

I had the same issue. I tried a different type of sd card and the issue remained the same.

I've had the black screen issue with one of my other sd cards, but even with the current sd card that normally boots lakka every time, on the latest Switch firmware it seems, Lakka will not boot anymore.

The new Hekate is incompatible whit old Lakka coreboot Ctcaer build a new one and shared it in RetroNx Discord.
Please test and report.
Copy both files in Lakka folder.
Thanks! Will test later on today.
Edit: This worked, thanks!

I just format my sd card from exFAT to FAT32 with a 265GB SandDisk card, but it doesnt fixed the black screen issue.. is it just cause of the brand? 🙄 I dont want to pay this much... Everyone who was successful to start Lakka, please tell me which SD Card do you use 🙏

Its cause of the brand, you are out of luck. Lakka still has issues booting on some sd cards. I had several samsung evo cards and had no problems booting lakka/android.

Very thank you! That helps me a lot! But i think formatting my sd card from exFAT to FAT32 was still the better choice, right?

Which Samsung micro SDXC card would you prefer or recommend?
Pro plus (about 80-100€) 160mb Up/Down
Or
Evo plus [2021] (about 60-80€) 130mb Up/Down

You can try Switchroot Android instead. It works on my 64GB SanDisk Ultra (I use it only for Android)

The Switch's MicroSD reader isn't that fast, so you get no benefit from a faster card. I have a 512GB Evo Plus myself.

Thanks for your recommendation, very helpful.

Switchroot Android is like another OS for Switch like Lakka? But i think Android doesnt have a good Dolphin Emulator? Im heading for GameCube and Wii Emulation.

Lakka and android are on par when it comes to dolphin performance... Don't get your hopes up, you will mostly use dolphin's "frameskip" to get somewhat playable performance. Switch isn't powerful enough to handle gc/wii emulation. That being said, if you want just emulation, go for lakka (no need to format/partition sd card, just drag and drop). If want not only emulation, well, go for android... it doesn't need any explanation. You can try both as well...
