I can't promise that. I'm human after all.
I normally wait when I have anger to die out and follow a more mature path.
Meaning you must have been pretty upset when all of this started unfolding but didn't want to try explaining everything in your current state because it could have been filled with some bias. This is a very respectable mindset and everyone is thankful that someone finally came out of the woodwork to explain the whole ordeal in detail.

If people can't express their racist and trans-phobic thoughts then we don't have freedom of speech. The fact that there are more modded posts than pages in this thread is proof that we're heavily moderated over here.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to read a thread where people just hurl racial slurs at each other and I imagine neither do you, but lets not pretend we have freedom of speech in this thread.
They weren't removed because GBAtemp is against freedom of speech, they were removed because it's off-topic. There's a thread for that.

First impressions m8. I've seen how he acts towards people he doesn't respect. I don't "NEED" to know him.

I've often talked to him on the discord and he's been nothing but friendly. Comes across as a very nice and humble guy in my experience.

Geez. After reading all of this, it seems that she did mess up, but they're overreacting really damn hard. One bug, supposedly discovered by multiple people, and was not even that high tier of a bug, caused a whole team to fall apart? For multiple devs to show their true colors? The team was not very trusting and/or was going to fall apart soon anyways then if that is the case.

If we're believeing that this was a lower priority bug than F-G, RS super overreacted here. I'd even go as far as to say that claiming the bug was worth 200k on a bug bounty in any way was lying and malicious. Very disappointed with this whole situation.

Yeah, maybe we'll get some facts out of the matter from whoever decided to stay.
I tend to go along with @CTCaer post earlier - that seemed to sum up what likely happened.
What a bloody drama!
I think you should add his post to OP. Its the most concise and objective deconstruction of the entire ordeal.

Translation: We actually care about users' freedom of speech, unlike ReSwitched.
You realize that "freedom of speech" means that the government can't arrest you for speaking your mind - not that you can be a dick on a private forum or Discord?

Too many assumptions here.
It's gbatemp, they're always big in speculating and assuming. At least they finally started moderating.

I've had my differences with SciresM as well and this situation could've been handled better. But people calling him childish or calling the project dead because he told people what happened in his view need to get their head out of their asses. If he hadn't said anything, people would've speculated like they are doing here - even the mods are taking part in it.

Fact is, SciresM and TuxSH are doing most of the coding on the project. I don't have any insight on how much input ktemkin and Aurora Wright had, but at least ktemkin removed herself from the credits recently for feeling she didn't contribute enough to warrant being on there.

That being said, I'm not very active on the ReSwitched discord, but from what I saw, ktemkin was a valued and popular person who was always willing to help people around there. From what I saw, there was a big misunderstanding, people got hurt and things spiraled out of control. It seems like she did not directly gain any money from this, but I'm pretty sure she took her consulting fee - which, given her expertise - can't be low. But it doesn't look like she meant any harm and probably only made a misjudgment.

We should step back from that and hope that what happened stops them from ever reconciling - they seemed to get along nicely before, and one misunderstanding (if that's what's happened) shouldn't stand between them forever. But that's their problem to solve and not really ours to pry into.

It's just amusing to me that people who never contributed anything worthwhile to the scene in their lifetime feel the need to pass judgement on the people who do. We can see you have no idea about what you're talking about and you're making an ass of yourself by making uneducated comments. Your idea of someone acting childish was not supported by the complete facts and tbh, it's not your business how someone else is running their private discord. How some people feel entitled to anything someone else is doing will never cease to amaze me.

Yeah, that whole 200k shit is what got me hooked, but once I figured out that wasn't really the truth, all of this sounded quite..petty?
