During its debut PRESS START gaming news broadcast, Konami shared some big news. In addition to the original Silent Hill remake announcement, the company revealed FOX HUNT, an original online multiplayer mode for METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER, as well as details of upcoming games in its portfolio. Below is a roundup of the announcements.
Producers Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado revealed more information about the Snake Vs. Monkey and Snake Vs. Bomberman game modes coming to METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER. The latter brings a new in-house collaboration with the Bomberman franchise delivering a bombastic experience by introducing gameplay mechanics from the Bomberman series to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game.

FOX HUNT Director Yu Sahara gave viewers a concept of the brand-new online multiplayer mode, character renders and early gameplay footage. FOX HUNT, a completely original mode, broadens the franchise’s core stealth element where players must utilize their environments to camouflage and evade opposing players. More details will be announced later.

A developer diary with SILENT HILL producer Motoi Okamoto, scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and members of NeoBards Entertainment provided an in-depth look at the production of SILENT HILL f – the new entry in the psychological horror franchise. SILENT HILL f brings the franchise closer to one of its many core pillars by focusing on Japanese horror elements. The game is set to release on September 25th.

STAR LEAP will be available globally to PC via Steam alongside iOS and Android mobile devices. A new role-playing adventure set in the world of Suikoden, STAR LEAP takes place a few years before the events of Suikoden I, but a couple years after Suikoden V. The game’s art style takes inspiration from 2D pixel character designs with a mix of 3D backgrounds. STAR LEAP is available to wishlist on Steam.

This is a new action-adventure platformer from Paris-based ZDT Studio. The developers introduced the game’s plot and core gameplay mechanics. In Darwin's Paradox!, players take on the role of a cunning octopus called Darwin who has been ripped from his ocean home and flung into a menacing alien-like world above the waves. Darwin’s Paradox! is available to wishlist now with more news coming in a future announcement.

The demo for EDENS ZERO was released at the end of the KONAMI PRESS START broadcast. Players can try the game ahead of its release and transfer saved data from the demo to the full game when it releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam on July 15.

Konami also shared that the recently released Suikoden I&II HD Remasters are also arriving on the Nintendo Switch 2 with new visual enhancements and that its must-play titles, including some featured in this broadcast, are on sale on the KONAMI publisher Steam store.

I had my sights on the main campaign, but I hope the multiplayer isn't a tack-on, like Bionic Commando (2009), or a project that took heavy resources from the main campaign's development, like Bionic Commando (2009).

I'm still cautiously optimistic about Silent Hill f, though it's hard to forget what was left behind in P.T., the last handful of entries, and the heyday of Team Silent.

Shame for Suikoden but its a start....in a way...
MG3 is not my favorite at all but it's good news...not sure about the multiplayer thing...
Im really happy about the Silent Hill f, I just hope the game will stand strongly on his own, not like the estern european sequels...
Darwin paradox doesnt look bad maybe simple....
I hate Edens Zero already....I hate Fairy Tales and the farming game too...everything

I understand the skepticism toward Konami, but also none of this looks bad so I'm very confused. But then again, this is GBAtemp.

Suikoden did get a 1&2 Remaster, so that's something. Unfortunately, the later games will probably take more effort to port, so we may not get those for a while. I would absolutely appreciate a cheaper way to (legally) get ahold of Suikoden III, IV, and V. (Let's not forget the Japan-only sixth game on the PSP.)

I do have hopes for Silent Hill f, but they're kind of vague. It's not Team Silent so my idea is that, if it's an effective horror game, it may at least have that going for it. People seem to really like the author behind the game's story.

I wonder how Kojima feels when there's new MGS announcements.
Just ask him. @HideoKojima

Just to let you know, it'll probably be something like: "don't care, buy Death Stranding 2."

Konami's been on a strange journey. They were top-form throughout the early gens. For the 7th gen, their output dramatically changed, and the company shifted to Pachinko. They've been slowly drifting back in with ports and compilations, and now, they're at the point of Silent Hill remakes and sequels and a new Metal Gear Solid remake with multiplayer. Strange times.

Indeed but there will be a new Bloodstained in the spirit of Portrait of ruins at least...

I already know that but this is Metroidverse" style, not the "Castlevania" to me. I loved Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and a sequel.

No not really "metroivania", the new 3d aspect can make you think so but the design style and rpg element are not like a metoid...
Oh you were talking about Lord of shadow...meh...it was an average/mediocre saga, they should have never use the name of Castelvania to do this games in my opinion....Im actually quite happy to never see anything new about it.

As someone personally never played those original games, I really appreciate the remaster collection of Suikoden.
I still have to play the original, and I want to do a replay of Suikoden II. One thing I can say about Suikoden II is that it has some great tracks to it. Good memories there.

I miss the 5th gen because companies like Squaresoft, Konami, and Capcom were experimenting like crazy. Parasite Eve and Brave Fencer Musashi, Resident Evil and Dino Crisis, Suikoden and Silent Hill. Good times.

Did you play Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 1 and 2? They're not Metroidvanias, they're Classic-style, excellent games

To me, they are familiar to Metroidvanias but classic-style and I liked them however.
