Looks like we have the same one from that. Hope to get some more reports on this device from people who have it working.

Well mine does works and it says DTI/8GB, not DT100 as yours, and here's my chipgenius report:

Whoa i was lucky. I bought an 8GB DT100 specially to use it with USB Loader and it works great. Gonna check the details and edit this post later.

Well, yeah, everything looks the same from the non-working, except for the chip:

So, yeah, there's more than just the device model (That was the DT100/4GB).

BTW, I bought it December last year here at Mex, if that makes any difference.

Here is the Kingston Data Traveller product chart. It shows all their current models, DTI are quite different looking to DT100.

Thanks Gamer this is exactly the info we needed.
Same product name and model number but different hardware. The revision number is different too.

Anyone thinking of buying a device based on product name and model should now be aware that isn't a guarantee of compatibility.

If you can get the lsUSB info into this thread it may be very useful, I'll put up my not working device info later this evening.

Ahh, was that supposed to be your chip info? I think you may have just quoted without adding the info

**edit** I see you added the lsUSB info to the appropriate thread, great!
I am still hoping you can post info from chipgenius on your PC too though. I'd just like to know what the internals of your device are and chipgenius it makes it clear.

My 1GB Kingston USB stick didn't work (got -1 error) until I discovered that I had to wait to plug it in until after I had loaded USB Loader 1.4. Now it works fine.

Hope this helps someone

Hello just letting everyone know i have been loading games off of my 8GB Kingston data traveler since v1.1 came out i still use 1.1 so i dont know if its a version error the thing that got it working for me was to install the cIOS that came in the pack

* WARNING*
If you play rock band through any backup disc or usb loader the instruments will not work anymore it messes with the cIOS necessary and you will have to wait for an update (this will be found in cIOS rev11). If you dont fall under this category go ahead

You mean the RockBand 1 and the 2 song track packs..?? well actually there is a way to do it if Disc is used, you need to use the Multi_cIOS installer to install IOS37 with DIP7 as IOSwhatever you want, and then you use SoftChip pointed towards that IOS and voilà...!!

Unfortunately i have used the SoftChip Rock Band Launcher Channel utilising IOS 232. I installed the cIOS under IOS37 with DIP7 as IOS232 and this still wont work if you do have experinece with an IOS that does work please share.

I bought a 64gb Kingston key, it worked at first but after a while I realise it was a fake key.... which is actualy only 1gb in size..... but hacked to make it looks like it's a 64gb card.

That stupid ebay moron is better refunding me.

Watch out people!

In the gbatemp faq is written that the Kingston DataTraveler 32 GB DT150 is not compatible with usbloader but anyone knows if the following pendrives are compatible?

Kingston Technology DT100/32GB DataTraveler 100
Kingston DataTraveler I Generation 2 - 32 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DTIGB
