Okay I've been stalking this thread for 12 hours now.

Since noone confirmed this properly, I gotta say, I had 3.80 M33-2 when I first tried this game. It said an error and that it could not be played (error code 80020148 the game could not be started). Then I found out about the updates (lol I suck) and updated to 4.20 i think, and then to 5.50 GEN D3. purple screen of death. (and code geass lost colors's sound got screwed up! damn!)
So that's confirmed. I have picture proof too.

also I'm also on "the other forum" (thanks to the well placed hints in earlier posts

Maybe that's the real reason why this game isn't going to be released on the PSN. Because if we download it there it will have to run from a memory stick they would have to change the AP.

It means its alright after it boots into the game

What happens is when the game first starts the protection makes the memory card shut down that what causes the black screen.
Then the memory card starts back up HOWEVER since the game has crashed nothing happens.
We do have a patch that allows up to the first boss but however since there is four checks.
The patch only removes the first check.

Apparently the Japs are working on a Fix that should work. They said that the MENU____(something).elf was keeping it at 6.20 and that theyre going to change it to make it work for 6.0 instead.

lets hope it works.

Its possible to do it via hex edit. But you see, i don't know which one it is that's holding the code to make it do 6.20 Checks.
Apparently, these Chinese People know, so lets let them try it out. if it works hooray! if not..back to square 1
