If I see a $400 version one of these days I'll probably jump on it now, one of my main beefs with it has been lifted.

The never ending backpedaling gives me even less confidence in the platform. I think they could have gotten away with ALL the bologna (24 hour check-ins, kinect always on, etc) if they only took a loss on hardware costs and sold the system for $200. MS would still make huge advertising revenue with a camera that could detect if you're paying attention to ads, etc.
