Protip: None of the patches get past the red screen.

Any stories about that are lies.

I have but one question, that I keep seeing mixed answers on. I'd love if someone could set it straight.

If I purchased the UMD could I run the game on Gen D3? Or do I need to update to OFW then pandora after I finish the game?

Cheers folks.

Its 6.20+, unless you have an OFW PSP, it wont work. Im hoping they put this on PSN though, i'd definately buy it for my GO

There is PSN/PS3 data on there, but S-E said Disney doesn't want the game on PSN. That's probably lie #46848645 in regards to BbS this week, though.

Everyone here have no respect for the CFW creators? Too bad you can`t play the game on CFW, that is your problem not the CFW creators. If they choose to quit then let them be, if they choose to create, show more respect. The PSP Scene is going LOW, meaning too many BEGGARS, DEMANDERS, HATERS in the scene. GEN`s purpose of creating CFW is so that you can enjoy HOMEBREW or CUSTOMIZATION of your PSP. It just so happens you are able to play ISOs. You calling them a hypocrite? YOU are the hypocrite. It is the miss-use of CFW that is causing the PSP Scene to die and die quickly. Sad to see, but that`s reality folks. If you want to play the game, wait for the release in your country and buy another USED PSP for OFW Only, problem solved. Buy the game and support the devs who had worked many many many countless of hours/days to create the game for your enjoyment.

Haha, see ya all! I'm busy studying for my exams, IDC about this crap anymore, besides my DSi is soon going to be in my hands!! Sweetness!! Bye KH fans. Bleh, good luck waiting for...NOTHING.

Well, the meeting now finished and we have shed light on the matter. I have a theory that seems to have been convincing to everyone:

The game itself has no internal protection. His basic decryptable any game, only to be done manually so a 6.20 would make automatic decryptor. Now our problem is something else.

The game has no protection, but a different system stored in the OFW version 6.20. This system is different from 5.00 M33 and 5.50 GEN, and thereby hangs not finding the file or section of code that search, however:

The tests were tested at a rate with the UMD GEN 5.50 D-3, and ISO. Tests:

Post-game UMD and ISO running: Game 100% functional
Set-UMD ISO removed and running: functional play, but if the game loads something (a cutscene, keep heading ...) crashes.

And this why? My theory is that, because the UMD, the game "takes" the files from the 6.20 update the game itself, loading the data from the UMD itself rather than on the flash0. This is because the game does not require access to the Memory Stick Data unless an Install. I think if there is no UMD, although the game is not on the Store, you can change the line of code to access the MS. Everything is centralized in Archivito: System Data.

This file is simple, is the trigger for all charges and saved the game. And one final charge is the fight against a boss, a change in the world, a cutscene ... not several protections in the game. The problem occurs when the game "find" the files that relate kept the 6.20, and not find them.

So my theory is this. It should create a plugin rather strange, but already has a predecessor: Anti CFW. This new plugin you have to do is include or emulate the needed files from the 6.20, and should be tried, or that the game creates a UMD inserted to bring those files, or change any lines of code in the ISO in order to restore its load him. And here enters the picture CWCheat, a trick + the plugin would achieve this.

This is only an assumption, but of course copy operation is a mere failure of compatibility. We must either change, or emulate, through a plugin or in the CFW, the files that relate to the saved and loaded the 6.20, some of vsh prx / module of the flash0. With that, the game will have no problem with the loads, and what does this mean? That will have nothing more to protect themselves.

That is, the patch IS READY AND FINISHING, but now you need the game ISO is created that, without the UMD, we are able to read those files from the 6.20. The easiest solution is a 6.20 CFW, but since it is possible for now, a plugin is the best solution. Only work on 5.50 GEN D-3, because we rely on your modules.

A greeting.

PS: In this we must have patience, a lot. This method may seem convincing, is based on our discussions and may not be entirely correct. It is possible that 2ch already have the key, but we think it is, and will try to start the plugin. How can you help? Anti-CFW, we need your code, can be useful if the mechanism it uses. Like the ChickHEN, a shutdown of the PSP is a fused plug, and back to activate it, but is the only solution without new firmware.

that explains some stuff

Longer than i expected, but at least it's playable. I wonder if Square is going to do such a complicated AP for the rest of its games.

OFFTOPIC: now there is a useless post ^.
My original post is to prevent idiots like you to try to be a smartass, as well as attempting to keep this thread alive.
At this rate we're going to have yet another locked BBS thread, all thanks to you.

found a post from another website saying that someone made a patch and it runs completely but u cant save...Is this true?

It's been addressed in the first post...

QUOTEIt seems that the patch for KH: BbS is already done and it works perfectly, however it has only one error, the Sony OFW 6.20 has some code related to Savegame.prx and the game looks for this function which isn't present in our current CFWs, so this blocks our access to the game, giving a black screen on the PSP yet again, when saving or loading, the solution as an Italian says, is to decrypt the 6.20 ISO, install the new prx and add that code of savegame.prx to over CFW, but to do so, we need to make a new CFW. Many say that they can reach the intro of the game, but that's a lie.

..How can the patched game work "perfectly" when the game still won't boot on CFW?

Sounds like more fucking lies.

So if it works? where can i get it because i wouldnt care if i couldnt save
biggrin.gif
. or is it that because it wont save it work at all o_0?

This is bull. It's not a 6.20 thing, seeing as the game runs flawlessly in 5.50 with a UMD. There are no calls to the UPDATE directory anywhere in the EBOOT, so the game never looks at it. This is defintely copy protection within the games code, one I'm sure even a 6.20 CFW wouldn't circumvent. Most likely what it's doing is looking for ISO loading modules currently running and shutting them down, therefore rendering the ISO invalid and forcing the game to load data from the UMD instead.

A dev team of European hackers need a source code from GEN, if you can help here is the link:

http://www.pspgen.com/forums/help-for-bbs-...de-t196832.html

Look legitimate, also I swear to Christ the next person who posts irrelevant nonsense that no-one gives a flying crap should be banned on the spot.

This is getting out of hand, we want to get this done and we don't need you to treat this place like Facebook/MySpace with hourly updates of what you're thinking of about this game. Cut that crap out and get lost.

I found a site with some info that may or may not be helpful.

EDIT

The link below is to the plugin files:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2zmu54yzezn
It has some SE plugins that are claimed to get past the 3rd window

I apologize in advance if it did not have any usable info.
