Gaming Kerbal Space Program

As many of you know I've been playing Kerbal Space Program for quite a while now, and recommending it to everybody. There are numerous clips on youtube from people building and crashing intricate or gargantuan rockets, but most of these don't give you a real feel for the game. But a couple of weeks ago this video by Stuff+ was posted, and had me in stitches. It's well worth watching, even if all you see is part 2. (Part 1 is a bit more dry and introductory)

So without further adeiu:

Kerbal Space Program is still in Alpha stage, and is currently on version 0.16 .
The demo is version 0.13, and is free to play, but you will not have access to the numerous mods, space planes, extravehicular activity, and celestial bodies other than the Mun.
In version 0.16 there are two celestial bodies (Mun and Minmus) but the next update is said to have five or six more planets and moons to visit, crash into, and get your crew stuck upon.
The current price is $18, but this will give you access to all updates from here on, and to the full polished game when it becomes available.

Kerbal Space Program is such an awesome game. After hearing Vulpes talk about it, I went ahead and bought it on a whim. I play it every now and again when I need a laugh, and it's quite a fun game. Haven't played in a while though, but I think I might just have to play it again now.

Kerbal Space Program version 0.17 has been released!
But before you go to download it, know that their servers will most likely be slammed for the next 24 hours, making downloading difficult. (At this moment I'm unable to connect at all)
The Kerbal System now includes five planets.
From innermost to outermost they are called: Moho, Eve (1 moon), Kerbin (1 moon, called The Mun), Duna (1 moon), and Jool (4 moons).
The sun (Kerbol) now features solar flares.
A new nuclear-thermal engine is available.

Necro, but bringing back discussion or sorts...

So I suddenly got in the mood for a good flight sim, and I tried out a few freeware ones but wasn't satisfied, and from reading reviews and guides online (the flight sim community seems to keep plenty of reviews and records online) I figured I'd like one more aimed at an arcade style of fun, rather than the tough realistic kind.

Then I remembered this, and decided to try the demo. I've only built and flown two simple rockets, but that was enough to get me to buy the full game. Downloading it now.


EDIT: Alright, been playing with it, it's fun and hard.
Also it's been announced that the $18 price will increase in the next few days.
