ROM Hack Keeping the original game and the romhack game on the same 3ds?

Is it possible to have both an original game and the romhack version of the same game on the same 3ds but installed as different games?
Like for example, i would be able to keep my original Pokemon Omega Ruby and also have Rutile Ruby installed as a different game with a different save file. Is that possible?
