Here we go with "GBAtemp KANJI LESSON"'s! :PPP

It's a good opportunity for me to check what i've forgot already

LESSON#1 - INTRODUCTION

*Kanji was imported over the centuries from China. The pictograms are typically (much) more complex than kana (remember, "kana" refers collectively to hiragana and katakana) and, furthermore, have different readings and meanings depending on how they're combined with other kanji. They represent ideas or words rather than syllables, although of course hiragana or katakana could be used to spell out the pronunciation.

*Kanji have two sorts of readings/ways of being pronounced: "on" readings and "kun" readings.

*The "on" readings are based loosely on the original Chinese pronunciation of the kanji, and are typically used when a kanji is part of a compound(written with at least one other kanji to form a word).
*The "kun" reading is used when kanji are used on their own, either as complete nouns in their own right or as adjective and verb stems.

there's no need for a sticky, if it's useful enough people will want to read it. I'll keep checking back because learning Japanese has been a target of mine for a while, I'm just struggling to find the right resources for me.

You should take some classes. It's way better than studying by yourself. Atleast i think so, but of course some people are better on their own.

yeah, i'm considering attending a course in the new year. I was too late to enroll when i first started looking into it, so this could be the ideal primer.

Guys guys, wait till it's done and then you can add as much criticism as you want. Having the polish flag doesn't mean anything. Example: I'm not English. Yea, the flag is a lie!

Posting a few translation tables is not a "lesson."

read... you don't understand ? i've changed to Hepburn transcription.

So what i need to do, that you would call it a "lesson"? interactive flash with kanji stroke writing practice ? There are rules... you can read about them in INTRODUCTION, next you need to memorize... what more you want? a beer to each kanji? sorry no bonus...

next lesson / basic gramatics(*what is "desu"*,particles "ha","mo","no",few adjectives) + new kanji + using those kanji i've posted today/tonight/whatever

chotto nemuku natta... dakara, oyasumi...
