got 4.01 m33-2 and its working flawlessly, especially with my FFVII (original ps1) which is what I wanted most..

anyway GTA vice city stories lags a little bit, I dont know if its because it is in .cso or because my card isnt formatted in fat16

its the 4gb lexar platinum II that everybody raves about, i got 2 from frys

how do i format fat16, and do i just copy everythying from mem card, format, put everything back on?

oh and also how do I rip from a umd to my memory stick, i have tried searching and failed

vice city always lags, thats normal.

you can reduce it to a minimal lag by using iso rather than cso and running it at 333mhz clock speed.

I have a blue Sandisk I believe, the other 2 black memory cards I have lag with Vice City, I also have to run the game as an ISO not a CSO, that is the only way you'll get it to work, in ISO form and with a fast memory stick.

for anybody with a 4GB memory stick and wants to convert it to work with fat16 (anything 2GB and below the psp format makes it fat16 by default):

1. Backup ALL the contents of your Memory Stick (e.g. Games, Music, Videos).
2. Format your Memory Stick using your PSP.
3. Connect your PSP to your PC using USB.
4. Go to the Command Prompt. (Start > Run > Type "cmd" > Ok)
5. Type the command "format x: /FS:fat" where x is the drive letter of your PSP.
6. When you are asked about 64kb block size, just choose yes.
7. Copy ALL the original contents back into the Memory Stick.
8. And, you're done. You now have a faster PSP formatted into a FAT16 file system.

or anybody who wants to convert it to fat16 anyway, it still works.
