Hacking Just got the Deluxe need help!

Hi guys I just got my deluxe and im on the right firmware i so far followed the guide http://gbatemp.net/review/r4i-gold-3ds-deluxe.113/ uptill the point where he started. I havent done anything yet besides download the necessary files but i would like to know if i should follow this guide since im putting on 3.0 right away as well as if i need to format my sd card not the micro sd but the SD card , thanks.

Hi so i was wondering if i needed to format the SD CARD before running the hack?

You might as well, it might eliminate any problems you could have if you didn't. Move anything you don't want to lose to your computer first of course.
