Hacking Just got a dsi. what (if any) flash carts will work.

Ok. so
i got a 1.4u version of dsi for xmas
and my friend told me about flash carts
but i am a total beginner
so:
Will a AK2i be able to work?
If not, will any other flash carts work?
Will AKAIO be able to work?
What is Moonshell, and do I need it?

In short, yes AK2i and everything else you mentioned will work.

Do you have a DS Phat, DS Lite, or pre-1.4 DSi that you could use/borrow to update an AK2i? If so, any AK2i would work. Otherwise, only AK2i-s labeled "1.4" will work.
AK2i-s are the best cards on the market right now. Get an AK2i. There are cheaper flash carts out there, but none have as good support as an AK2i. They are DSi compatible.
I wouldn't recommend use of anything but an AK2i.
AKAIO is the best firmware for the AK2i. Use of it is recommended. It will work fine.
Moonshell is a media player for the DS. It is not needed

Yup. Make sure you get a 1.4 AK2i (They have a sticker on them labeled "1.4" or something like that) OR that you know someone with a Phat, Lite, or pre-1.3 DSi
