Hardware Just bought a New 3ds XL

As the title says bought a black one off amazon the first released version. And I'd like to know what I should watch out for so I don't end up on a Frankenfirm ware like my old 2ds. I'm not looking for anything fancy I just want to get the basic gateway stuff running. Why because I've used it since day one it's worked for me and it never gave me any issues so to avoid ending up with a 200$ brick I just want the simple things back.

The most dangerous thing you'll do is the inevitable downgrade to 9.2 (unless you get REALLY lucky).

otpless a9lh install is like < 1% as risky as the downgrade and 100x faster.

Follow this guide to install A9LH and CFW, and skip all the unnecessary Gateway garbage.

I'll give it a shot do I have to look out for anything opening up the n3ds like idk opening the Web browser and getting the endless update nag or anything like that.

That all depends on which software version you're on.

You shouldn't have any problems with browser update nags on 10.6 and lower as long as you follow the instructions in the guide.

Where does the guide begin is it the alh9 part 1 or the otp. I'm guessing cause you said otpless that's alh9 but wanna make sure to avoid bricking another ds.

As the name indicates, it begins at Part 1.

Is it recommended I do browser or non browser for higher success.
