you are talking about the gateway? they will need to find an exploit that works on the 3ds firmwares above 4.5. they claim they are doing this but can it be done? we all hope so but it remains to be seen.

Question if I buy games from the eshop using emunand do they get installed on the real nand or just the emunand & would it be possible to redirect the downloads to the original nand

True, as they're helluva lot cheaper on there per GB Just saw 16 GB on sale for $10 or so, definitely the way to go

Get a Supercard DSTWO, if you wanna play 3DS games then tough luck, the only flashcard that's able to play 3DS games is Gateway but it doesn't support 6.X.X

Oh I know, I've no plans on doing that for a while, I do want to play all my DS games though, since it would be very convenient as I wouldn't have to swap out a million cards back and forth Plus, testing out the beta builds of Lolsnes would work a lot better as well. An 8 or 16 GB micro SD card would do just fine.
