I've played both and found vast differences in the games that simple hacking isn't going to overcome. You'd need a whole new starting base to even get started.
The odds of turning JUS into a Smash game = 42.1936%
The odds of it being any good = 0.0002%

I myself want to experiment on the movement definition file.
There's also a sprite type that contains different bits per pixel. Ie 4bpp and 8bpp.
