at this time, my current goal is to replace any characters that are fairly similar to nintendo characters(ie:m replace ichigo with link) with the sprites of the nintendo charachers that will be released eventually

as far as i can see, the possibilities of nintendo making the game are like 0.1% i think that by the time nintendo makes ssbds, ill have finished this hack.

Yeah, good luck with that.

I've played both and found vast differences in the games that simple hacking isn't going to overcome. You'd need a whole new starting base to even get started.

The odds of turning JUS into a Smash game = 42.1936%

The odds of it being any good = 0.0002%

true there are alot of diffrences but i think that if i really work at it, i can eventually oercome those issues

I'd also like to recommend the programs taxahan, nsbmd, and kiwi.ds these apps are very "hidden" nobody seems to know about them yet they are amazing help with ROM editing, kiwi.ds is just WOW imo

ok ive noticed that alot of people say its impossible, so whoever wants me to quit, say i if you want me to stay doing this and maby help say it now!

I'm going to tell you now... it IS possible, but it would take FOREVER i've done advanced rom hacks like this on call of duty

ok i have unpacked the rom and now i gotta edit the sprites
Good luck...at least before you give up on this in a few hours.

Also use the edit/modify button rather than double posting.

I wish you all the best! I really want to see the outcome of this!

I really want to encourage and not bring you down, cause that'll just make you not want to do it if no one believes in you.

Hundreds of sprites. Spread across 42 moves and typically 3 or more palettes.
With the no way to import sprites back into the game.

There won't be any progress on this until a coder steps in.
I myself want to experiment on the movement definition file.

There's also a sprite type that contains different bits per pixel. Ie 4bpp and 8bpp.

yeah if i cant export and import im screwed

This game could've had the biggest hacking scene out there, so many amazing games that nobody really cracks into. Imagine if someone picked up this game! we could script custom moves, add new characters! JoJo characters would be a popular mod, as well as plenty of smash characters. Honestly a shame.
