Personally, I see no point in pirating this game. Chances are that local trading between two Black and White games will be handled via IR.

Plus, the cartridge probably has some sort of added chip for the online functions.

Unless you only want to play it for the story, you're kinda fucked (and if you don't speak Japanese, you're fucked all around).
I agree with your sentiment. I've pre-ordered a copy, but it'll be fun to watch the inevitable shitstorm when all the kids ask WHY CAN I NOT TRADE POKMENZ? or WHY IS THIS IN JAPNEEZ I NEED IT IN ENGLISH NAU? or whatever other poorly spelled questions and unreasonable requests they'll post for the next 6 months.

He's asleep right now; and I think he said that he doesn't have the equipment to dump it himself. Then again, there -is- more than one person who has a copy of the game (and has proved it); so hoping that one person doesn't try to dump their copy is a bit futile at this point. It will happen soonish (don't ask for a concrete time- I don't know!) anyways. I'm assuming, though, that anti-piracy will be an issue if there's a leak, so even if the rom IS dumped early, it won't be useful to anyone until a patch is made.

in short, don't worry too much, even if it -does- get leaked by a 2ch poster; nobody will particularly care until it's playable on at least one flashcart.

As far as I know, there is no dump, so no way to tell.
