Hi,

I'm facing a problem with my right Joycon (Happened this morning !)

Everything is working great in handled mode, joycons connected to the Switch.

When I detach the joycons, the left one is ok but the right one doesn't turn on :-/
I tried to push and hold the sync button but nothing, no leds !

In the Switch Controllers settings, the battery seems to be fully charged.

I don't know what alse to do/check

Any ideas ? :-)

Do you have Airplane Mode enabled?

If the thing blinks, then it is either the antenna or something on switch itself (check airplane mode, as the fellow temper already said). If it do not blink at all, maybe some ribbon cable is lose inside or the battery is faulty.

Thanks for the answers :)

No airplane mode (And one of two working fine).
The second didn't blink at all...

I read that I could repair the ribbon cable it but didn't want to try at this moment.
I bought a new one, working great... will try to repair the other one in the future.

New oled switch with red/blue joycons.
I also have a second set of joycons.
Everting worked fine for the first day I had it set up. After that I can pair all the controllers by attaching them, but when detached none will connect to the switch. I get the led race after pushing the sync button but none of the joycons will connect to the switch in detach mode.

I have tried forgetting and repairing in the switch settings. I have tried checking airplane mode. Tried the troubleshooting steps on the switch and the ones on nintendos support site. I tried a soft reset. A hard boot. A maintenance mode no delete reset and a full factory reset.

I can take the joycons or the switch apart if need be to fix or replace components but I don’t know what the problem is or where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Before opening, remember that the OLED is new so I guess it is covered by warranty. Where I live warranty is not an option in most cases, but if you can do that from where you are, do it.

Also, try to do a controller update on settings menu. If it not solve, try to connect any Bluetooth speaker to see if the issue is on the tablet or on the controllers.

Doesn't turn on as « the leds do not turn on » or just the controller itself ?
Because if it doesn't turn on at all, then it surely a battery thing imho, if it was only the ribbon then the leds wouldn't turn on (and the SL and SR keys wouldn't work) but the controller would still connect (source : me, I had that problem)
I think that without battery, the controller can still work wired, but obviously it cannot wirelessly so my guess is that the problem is coming from the battery

But yeah as the post above mine said, if you are covered by warranty, you might want to use it
